Early in her career, she founded DVxT Theatre, which presented viscerally stimulating productions using ambitious texts, striking design elements and an extended rehearsal period.

Vikki’s work at DVxT included a multi award-winning production of The Doll House adapted by John Murrell, the acclaimed Soulpepper/DVxT production of Happy Days starring Martha Burns and a site-specific production of The Turn of the Screw featuring Christine Horne and Clinton Walker at the Campbell House Museum.

DVxT received 19 Dora Nominations and 12 Dora Awards for their work.

In 2013, Vikki took over as Artistic Director of Theatrefront where she created and staged new texts, and championed diverse and emerging voices. Her projects with Theatrefront included The Mill: AshThe Orange Dot and Mules and multiple commissions and playwright-in-residence projects.

From 2019 to 2023, Vikki was the Managing Director of County Stage alongside Artistic Director Graham Abbey. Vikki oversaw the reinvention and rebranding of County Stage to not merely survive, but thrive, during the pandemic. She implemented a new structure for the company, tripled the size of its programming and staffing, and initiated several important outreach and community initiatives.

Over the past three decades, her work in the theatre has explored social and political issues – with a resolve to direct, design and produce resonant works that are imaginative and transcendent. She is drawn to challenging works alive with opinions, desires and conflict. She has worked within the established and contemporary cannon, dramaturged new scripts and commissioned playwrights of all levels and backgrounds.

Vikki has been admired for her compelling ensemble work, commanding design sensibility and commitment to the female voice.
